Paul & Joe Creamy Cheek Powder Kitten 02 Swatch + Review

A few months back I won a giveaway that Beauty Crazed in Canada had. In the giveaway I won a Paul & Joe Creamy Cheek powder in the shade Kitten 02 & I won a Paul & Joe Refreshing Leg Emulsion.

Even though I won these items together I'm going to be reviewing them separately, just for convenience sake. So first up is the Creamy Cheek Powder! First off I want to say that the packaging, both the box it comes in and the compact itself are gorgeous. The Compact is a light shimmery champagne pink shade on the top it says Paul & Joe, it also has the super cute Paul and Joe logo flowers on it.

This is what Paul & Joe says about it: "An innocent baby pink. With color that's highly translucent, it delivers a natural rosiness and glow like that of bare skin. Follows contours to adhere snugly to skin, offering superb color durability. The SECRET D'OR formula accentuates the wearer's own innate, beautiful sense of dimension". This blush is 3.2g or 0.11 oz and retails for anywhere between $24-$30 depending where you get it. You can find it on sale at ASOS.

The shade itself is really great. Its a light peachy pink. It can be applied sheer or layered to create a more pigmented flush. It also has the slightest touch of shimmer too it, it leaves your cheeks with a really nice, light golden sheen. Its very smooth and easy to apply (I used my Mac 130 to dab it on and buff it out)

I think this could be a great highlighter for people who want a highlighter with a pinkier tone.

This is the first time I've used a cream blusher. It didn't cause any oiliness and it wore well, this blush did fade out a bit during the day, but then again when I do apply it I'm quite light handed. I don't know how this (or any) cream blush would work on those with oily skin, because my skin is super dry.

MARC BY MARC JACOBS Boxed Pavé Star Ring

I'm planning on doing more "fashion" related posts, because I'm finding myself more and more interested in clothing and accessories. I'm not much of a jewelry person, I have two rings my boyfriend gave me (two of his 'man' rings that I wear daily lol) and aside from my cartilage earring & my nose ring that's about all I wear. I do have a couple great necklaces that I wear on occasion, because they're too delicate (for me) to wear all the time without destroying them lol.

This Marc Jacobs ring is the first thing that I bought consciously because I'm trying to build up a variety of things I can wear at various times. My boyfriend and I saw this little baby when we were browsing at Holt Renfrew. I saw it and knew I had to try it on. It was so shiny and sparkly.. and its a star!

The girl opened the cabinet and I put on the ring without even looking at the price tag. I knew I needed to buy it as soon as it was on. The price was $135.37, which I could totally live with, after that the girl let me know that it was on sale for 50% off, Hello?! Can you say bonus? lol.. Needless to say I bought it and I love it.

The ring is in the color Black Diamond, it is also for sale in the colors: Black Diamond/Silver, Black/Hematite & Light Peach/Rose Gold. All of the rings are sold as one size fits most. One of the great things about the ring is that its adjustable, but it doesn't look like it is. The ring is hollow (thank God otherwise it would weight 15 lbs lol) since its hollow inside they added an adjustable band (see photo below) So even if the actual rig is a tad big for you you can adjust the inner band, which is great.

The ring is also for sale on Nordstrom's Website for $135.37 CAD. In addition to this ring there is also a  MARC BY MARC JACOBS Boxed Pavé Heart Ring, which is exactly the same, only its a heart shape rather then a star. It comes in the same shades and is one size fits most. The hear version of the ring also sells for $135.37 on Nordstrom's Website.

Las Vegas Prep + Update

Sorry I haven't been posting at all, I'm not feeling up to it lately and I've been slammed with Dentist appointments, tooth extraction pain, braces pain and all the wonderful things that go along with that stuff lol. All in all I'm quite happy though, pain and all. Because I finally got my braces. All it took was a cleaning, a $1500.00 down payment (mostly thanks to my lovely boyfriend) and in total 7 tooth extractions, that's including 3 of my wisdom teeth. So its been a long, expensive, painful but totally worth it beginning to a 20 month long teeth straightening journey.

Aside from that, Christmas was in the mix and so was New Years. I know I'm a tad late, but I hope all your Holidays were fantastic and I hope everyone has a Happy New Year!

With all the craziness going on, I need a freakin' vacation, well not really, but it would be nice to get away for a couple days. My boyfriend and I are going to Las Vegas in March & we're going to be staying at The Hard Rock Hotel. We talked about going one day and pretty much booked the trip the next.

I was planning on hauling a bunch of stuff, so I began preparing my list (much like the Montreal Inglot Prep) I wanted to go to Mac, So I made a fantastic list. A few days after my list was done, I realized that sure, maybe I'll save $20 or $30 on stuff from Vegas, but not much. So Mac is cancelled, I may pop into the store, but I'm not planning on buying anything, its just not worth it when I can drive 10 minutes to my local Mac store and get the same stuff (when I actually need it) for a couple bucks more.

So, make up wise, I'm going to hit a Sephora (because their Canadian mark up is huge.. Don't get me started on that) and of course, Inglot - Since my Montreal trip there, I'm LOVING their shadows. Because I'm skipping Mac, and therefore saving money by not going there with a massive list, I'm going to splurge at Inglot. I probably going to grab a 10 pan freedom system palette, some gel eyeliners (I NEED [the white one] #76) and maybe a couple blushes. I have a few shadows in mind that I have to look at a.k.a. the rainbow shadows [I feel so psycho] that I already emailed the store and confirmed that they have them at the location we're going to haha.

So until then I promise I'm going to try my best to start posting more often, hopefully at least once a week!
